This tag was created by Sam at Sam’sNonsense. If you guys don’t follow her already, please go check her out. I’ve been watching her channel for a couple years and her videos are a joy to watch. She’s also awesome to follow on Twitter, so check her out there too!
Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?
There’s a couple that I’m really looking forward to. Jennifer Armentrout is releasing Luc’s story from the Lux series. Also looking forward to The Half King by Melissa Landers. I absolutely adored her Alienated series and can’t wait to read more of her writing.
Christmas Songs & Carols: What book or author can you not help but sing it’s praises?
Okay… seriously… I have no other answer for this but Jennifer Armentrout.
I’m obsessed… I’m (not) sorry.
Gingerbread Houses: What book or series has wonderful world building?
Oooh.. this one is tricky. The first one that comes to mind is Harry Potter. But I also love the world in A Court of Thorns and Roses and the Percy Jackson series.
A Christmas Carol: Favorite classic or one that you want to read
I’ve always wanted to read A Christmas Carol. I have it on my Kindle, but I’ve never gotten around to reading it.
Christmas Sweets: What book would you love to receive for Christmas
I actually have a couple books on my wishlist this year. Normally, I don’t ask for books since they’re so expensive and I’m really impatient and end up just buying them myself. This year, though, I have the illustrated edition of the Prisoner of Azkaban on my list.
Candles in the Window: What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling
The Tiger’s Curse series is my go to book. Such fond memories with that series.
Christmas Trees & Decorations: What are some of your favorite book covers?
Christmas Joy: What are some of your favorite things about Christmas And/Or some of your favorite Christmas memories?
My favorite thing about Christmas is just the overall feeling that it has. Everyone is happy, there’s bright lights and family time, warm blankets and cozy rooms. I just love it.
Cinnamon Apple candles and wax. Eating way too much food because everyone is making your favorite sweets. That feeling after eating Christmas dinner and everyone is content and sleepy and there’s still bits of wrapping paper all over the floor.
My nieces face as she opens up all her presents and gets more and more excited as she tears through each one. Knowing that I’ve given someone a gift that they absolutely love and they’re going to enjoy it thoroughly.
Reading a good book by the light of the Christmas tree. Being curled up in blankets, with my candles lit and the house quiet.
My favorite memories of Christmas includes all of these things and more. Decorating the tree with my mom and sister, listening to my father swearing over the tangled lights (even though at the end of the holidays he’ll still just wad them up and throw them in the box causing the same problem).
Making new traditions with my husband, even though he is the biggest grinch around.
I think one of the best things about Christmas is that no matter what happens during the year, no matter who fights with who or who said the wrong thing at the wrong time, everyone comes together and pushes through it.
And that’s the Christmas book tag, guys. Okay.. so I got super sentimental at the end, and I’m really sorry for that. But Christmas really is my favorite time ever.
Again, I don’t really tag people in these things.. but if you want to do it, please tag me in it and let me know! Also, let me know what your favorite thing about Christmas is in the comments.
Until next time,
In the spirit of this wonderful holiday, I’m going to do a giveaway! All you need to do is comment on and like at least one post during the next 25 days and you’ll be entered to win a book($20.00 or less) of your choice from Book Depository. Winner will be chosen and announced December 29th.
