I don’t know about you guys, but I am always late to the party when it comes to new release or popular book series. I mainly blame my obsession with re-reading my favorite novels. I can’t get enough of it, I love re-reading.
Here are five popular book series that I’m not sure I’ll ever get around to reading.
I have tried multiple times to read this series and stopped for various reasons. One: they’re intimidating as all hell. The books are huge! I’m sure they would be considered a deadly weapon in some countries. Two: they’re so damn slow. I just couldn’t get into them at all. So this is probably one that I’ll just stick to the T.V. show.
I have seen this book series everywhere. And although it sounds kind of interesting, it also sounds like one of those series that takes up a lot of time. I’ve never found the will to invest that much time into a series.
This is one of those series that I’ve heard so much hype about that it actually turned me off of reading it. Always sucks when that happens.
This is another one that has a ridiculous amount of hype. I’ve read some reviews and listened to people talk about it and it just doesn’t seem like my kind of book.
Honestly, from what I heard, The Darkest Minds has something to do with superhero powers. I can’t do superhero kids. There’s just way too many of them out there.
I’m adding this book in as a bonus because I own all of them and I’m tossing around the idea of reading them. They really do sound great, but Maggie Stiefvater’s writing has always been hit or miss for me.
If one of your favorite series are here, please don’t take insult to this post. It’s not me saying they’re bad, just that I don’t think I’ll ever get around to them.
Any that I should take another look at? Let me know.
Until next time,
