Blogmas Day 8: Decorating My Christmas Tree

Hey guys!

I wanted to write a quick post about decorating my Christmas Tree. Decorating is one of my favorite parts about Christmas. And although I don’t decorate the entire house (blame the cats) I always make sure to at least have a tree up.

My husband is a big Grinch, so decorating is left to me.

We bought a pre-lit Christmas Tree a couple years ago. It’s about seven feet tall and really pretty. I’ve always loved real trees, but from experiences that I had as a kid with tree being infested with mice, I’ll stick to a fake tree. Plus, they don’t shed their needles and you don’t have to water them.

You will notice that my cat, Precious, is in almost every photo. She is fascinated with the tree and wouldn’t leave me alone while I was decorating it.

So this is what I’m working with:

I got my husband to put the star up because at 5″2, it’s a struggle for me to reach the top of the tree comfortably.

These icicles are pretty much my favorite thing on the tree. I bought them a few years ago at the dollar store and they’re so pretty.

I still  need to buy some more garland because the tree is still pretty naked, but I’m happy with the way it turned out.
