Blogmas Day 25: Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas, everyone!

It’s finally here… the day of Christmas, the last day of Blogmas. I hope everyone who enjoys this holiday is having the best Christmas.

I, for one, am super excited to spend time with my family today. We’ll be opening presents at my grandmothers (Secret Santa for the adults, many gifts for the little ones) and then dinner. I plan to end my Christmas day by reading by the light of the Christmas tree (before it’s torn down tomorrow faster than I put it up) and spending time with my husband. For the first time in 3 years, my husband has Christmas off, so I’m so excited to be able to spend some time with him.

I wanted to discuss Christmas traditions, today. Does anyone have any that you do every year? My traditions really stopped quite a few years ago, but the dinner at my grandmothers has been the one thing that has stuck.

I’ve always wanted to start some traditions of my own, but I don’t really know what I could start doing. My husband and I don’t even really buy gifts for each other. We just have a set amount of money and each of us buys a gift for ourselves from each other. Is that weird?

Anyways, since this was more of a discussion(ish?) post. Here’s also a book tag!

Thank you so much to Em from EmmyBeReading for tagging me in this Book Tag. Check out her post here. And also to Books in the Skye, check out her post here.

Let’s get into it:

“YOU’RE A MEAN ONE MR. GRINCH”: NAME A VILLAINOUS CHARACTER YOU COULDN’T HELP BUT LOVE.

Hmm.. this one is tough. But I think the one villain that I absolutely loved was Lokesh from The Tiger’s Saga by Colleen Houck. He was so gross and creepy but I think that’s what makes an awesome villain.

Also, Colleen said that she based him off of The Undertaker, which makes it all the better,

* I may or may not have had a huge crush on him as a kid.

“ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU”: WHICH BOOK DO YOU MOST HOPE TO SEE UNDER YOUR CHRISTMAS TREE?

The one book I asked for was the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. What a gorgeous book

“RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER”: NAME A CHARACTER THAT OVERCOMES MAJOR OBSTACLES AND LEARNS TO BELIEVE IN THEMSELVES.

Oooh.. uhm…

Ivy Morgan from the Wicked Trilogy by Jennifer Armentrout. Such great character development.

“SANTA CLAUS IS COMING TO TOWN”: A) WHICH CHARACTER DO YOU THINK WOULD BE ON THE TOP OF THE NAUGHTY LIST? B) WHICH CHARACTER DO YOU THINK WOULD BE AT THE TOP OF THE NICE LIST?

Nice List: Percy Jackson. What a sweet kid.

Naughty List: Jonathan Randall from Outlander. Fuck that guy.

“FROSTY THE SNOWMAN”: WHICH BOOK JUST MELTS YOUR HEART.

If There’s No Tomorrow.

It didn’t just melt my heart, it fucking destroyed it.

“FELIZ NAVIDAD”: CHOOSE A BOOK THAT TAKES PLACE IN A COUNTRY OTHER THAN YOUR OWN.

I live in Canada. Most books don’t take place in Canada. But the Tiger’s Saga takes place in India, Wicked takes place in New Orleans, and many many more lol

“IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR”: WHICH HOLIDAY THEMED BOOK DO YOU USE TO SPREAD THE CHRISTMAS JOY?

Mooseletoe

omg

“SLEIGH RIDE”: WHICH FICTIONAL CHARACTER WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO SPEND THE HOLIDAYS WITH (DOESN’T HAVE TO BE A LOVE INTEREST.)

Annabeth from Percy Jackson or Katy from the Lux series.

Annabeth is just awesome and I could talk with Katy about books and fangirl over everything.

“BABY IT’S COLD OUTSIDE”: WHICH BOOK THAT YOU DIDN’T LIKE WOULD YOU SACRIFICE TO A FIRE TO WARM YOURSELF UP IN THE COLD?

35800325

Pretty sure I would burn it even if I was toasty warm.

“DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR”: WHICH BOOK DO YOU THINK EVERYONE SHOULD READ?

16096824

I think this book has the potential to be liked by a lot of people. It certainly one of my favorites.

Happy Holidays, everyone! And be safe if you’re travelling! ❤

Until next time,
