Alright, so if it’s not obvious due to my twitter rant about my ideal book store or some of the books I’ve been reading. I am absolutely OBSESSED with Beauty and the Beast. I’m sure most book worms are like me: You identify with Belle on a ridiculous level. Sure, the romance is cute (if you can look past the Stockholm Syndrome) but really just the fact that I would prefer to spend my time with my nose stuck in a book than communicating with people, I totally understand Belle.
This tag is absolutely great! Thank you to Adrianna from For The Love of Books for tagging me in this. Check out her post here.
So now to the Book Tag!
“Oh what a guy Gaston!”
A Villain You Can’t Help But Love
There’s quite a few villains that made me love them. Or more like… love to hate them? Draco Malfoy of course. Lokesh from Tiger’s Saga, the Volturi from Twilight, Rozaria from the Eurona duology by Wendy Higgins. So many great villains out there.
“Here’s where she meets Prince Charming.”
One True Pairing
Daemon and Katy. No fucking question. Love them.
“I want much more than this provincial life.”
A Character Who’s Destined For Greater Things
Elle from Geekerella. She is such an amazing character! I imagine her doing grand and wonderful things with her life, not just settling into enjoying her boyfriend’s wealth.
“Be Our Guest!”
A Book That Made You Hungry
Basically any time they mention decent food and I haven’t eaten yet. However, I once made cookies based off of a recipe in one of the Tiger’s Curse books and they were the best damn cookies ever. Peanut Butter filled double chocolate chip cookies. *drool*
“Beauty and the Beast”
Opposites Attract
Let’s go with a more recent read. Rowan and ‘the Subject’ from Pulse by Danielle Koste. Can’t get more opposite than that.
“But there’s something in him that I simply didn’t see”
A Character Who’s More Than They Appear
Definitely Gabe from Moonlight Sins. Man oh man, I can’t wait to read his book. He seems wonderful!
“I was innocent and certain, now I’m wiser but unsure.”
A Book That Changes You In Some Way.
If There’s No Tomorrow by Jennifer L. Armentrout. This book did so much for me and it’s stuck with me even though I read it months ago.
“Kill the Beast!”
A Book You Picked Up Because of Hype
Hyped books and me don’t work out to well. I’ve read tons of hyped books and I usually don’t end up loving them.
The one that sticks out that I did love was A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas. Loved that entire series!
“I’ll never shake away the pain.”
A Book Or Moment That Always Makes You Cry
Pretty much the entirety of the final Harry Potter book.
But also, any time an animal dies. Or anytime I watch the ending of Titanic and that old couple is laying in the bed. I cry bucket fulls every time.
Well, there it is! I tag Emmy, First Book Love and Dreamy Reads!
Check out some of my reviews for Beauty and the Beast retellings:
Bellamy and the Brute
Hunted
Until next time!
I really did love this movie!
