Book Tag|20 Questions

Hey guys!

After my rather serious post yesterday about mental illness, I decided to post a bit of a fluff piece today. Thank you so much to Kimberly at TroubledBibliophile for tagging me! Check out her post here and give her some love ❤

How many books is too many books in a series?

I’m not crazy about super long series. Not that I don’t see the merit in having a really long time in a world, but I tend to like my series all wrapped up by 5 books in. Anything more and I end up losing interest.

How do you feel about cliffhangers?

Honestly, it depends on what you mean by cliffhanger. To start the hype of the next book in a series, I don’t mind. But if the series is finished and there’s a cliffhanger, I hate them. Don’t just leave a series open ended. I need everything wrapped up.

Hardcover or paperback?

If I’m reading physical books, it’s trade paperback. Definitely prefer the look of hardcovers on a shelf, though.

Favorite Book?

This is the most impossible question ever. Tiger’s Voyage, Tiger’s Dream, Obsidian, Moonlight Sins, The House of Hades, Kissing Tolstoy. I could go on, but you get my point.

Least Favorite Book?

Handbook for Mortals. ‘Nuff said

Love triangles, yes or no?

Yes and no. I don’t mind love triangles if it’s pretty obvious who they’re going to end up with (ex: Tiger’s Saga). As long as it doesn’t include cheating. Cheating is a no no.

The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?

Waterfall by Lisa Tawn Bergren. I really have to stop trying to read historical/time-travel novels. Just ugh. They hardly ever work out for me.

A book you’re currently reading?

Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones. I’m actually reading this based off of a recommendation from an author friend, Kennedy Cannon.

And I am loving this. I can’t wait to finish it and read the second book which came out this month.

Last book you recommended to someone?

It would have to be a blog post I did the other day. If you missed it, check it out here. Mythology recommendations 🙂

Oldest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

I don’t read classics. I can’t get into the language used, I can’t get into the old writing styles, ect ect. The oldest book I ever read was The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe which was published in 1950

read by publication year
Goodreads actually has a fantastic tool to check this out. If you want to find your own, click on Books>Reading Stats>Publication year

Newest book you’ve read? (Publication date)

Tiger’s Dream which comes out in March of this year. I’ve been finished this book for over a week and I still can’t believe I was accepted for a review copy.

Favorite author?

Um. I’m not even going to answer that. My blog is self-explanatory haha

Buying books or borrowing books?

I guess both? Kindle Unlimited is technically borrowing

A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?

I did a post specifically about this, but the biggest one is the Raven Cycle. I very much disliked that book

Bookmarks or dog-ears?

Bookmark. I very much dislike dog-earing my own books

A book you can always re-read?

Frigid by JLA. I reread this book at least a few times a year.

Can you read while hearing music?

I prefer not to, but I can.

One POV or multiple POV’s?

Dual is my favorite. But one POV is nice too. Anymore than two though and it mildly drives me crazy

Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?

Mostly just depends on how much time I have. I just read until I’m done the book.

Who do you tag?

For the Love of Books and Emmy

Alright guys, until next time!
