I actually can’t even with this series. I have read and reread the Lux series many many times and I seriously never get bored of it.
I love the chemistry between Katy and Daemon more than any other couple I have ever read about.
Katy is amazing. She’s a book worm, which of course, yes please. The little comments about blogging and the bookish community were so relatable. Honestly, these books are how I discovered that book blogging was actually a thing. But besides being a book blogger, she is such a strong character. She takes all the drama like a champ and is so strong.
Daemon is one of those awesome bad-boy characters. In the beginning, you kind of want to hold him down while Katy kicks him repeatedly in the junk, but then he grows on you and you realize how much of a sweetheart he is. Reading Oblivion gives so much insight into his character and it’s beautiful.
The two of them together is just amazing. The character development they go through separately and as a couple throughout the series is a wonderful thing to see. I just… I can’t word. I love this series so freaking much.
I want to marry you because I’m in love with you, Kat. I will always be in love with you. That’s not going to change today or two weeks from now. I will be just as in love with you in twenty years as I am today.
Like how freaking amazing is that quote? This book is about 40 thousand types of swoony and beautiful and amazing.
Jennifer has such a way with characters. Every character that you see in the novel makes you actually want to be friends with all of them. Even Ash and she was a salty brat. Just saying.
Dee is by far my favorite supporting character. Or maybe it’s Archer? Or Luc? Or… I just don’t know. They’re all amazing.
All the history and information that’s given about the Luxen, Arum and Origin. I wanted to just know more and more about all of them.
Obsession is the spin off Arum novel and I highly recommend reading it whether or not you read the entire Lux series. It ties everything together so perfectly and makes you actually feel for the Arum. Crazy right? You actually feel for the ‘bad guy’. It’s also quite a bit steamier and definitely more in the Adult category than Young Adult, but it’s amazing.
So with this reread I read Oblivion (Obsidian, Onyx, and Opal in Daemon’s perspective), Obsession, Origin and then Opposition. I think if you’re new to the series, the best order would be Obsidian, Onyx, Opal, Oblivion, Obsession, Origin, and then Opposition. I think that’s the best reading order to get everything possible out of this series. And trust me… there’s a lot.
I’ve been close to crying many many times reading these books and I have read them a lot. It doesn’t change. Ever.
So, if you’re looking for a paranormal YA romance to completely take up every spare moment of every day for at least a week, please please check out this series. Trust me. It is literally everything I ever wanted in a book series. ā¤
And once you read this, and you’ve fallen in love with the world and all the characters and you love Luc’s little jerk face, just know that The Darkest Star is coming out October 30th and you’ll get more. I so can’t wait.
Now I’m going to go reread another one of her amazing series.

I just started this series for the first time not too long ago and i love it! I have books 3 & 4 taken out for the library and will hopefully be starting it this weekend!

This is one of my favourite series of all time and I’ve read it at least 10 times by this stage!! I totally agree about the chemistry,I love them so much!! Daemon’s sarcasm/brooding humour make it for me. I’m so sad it over š„

This series will always hold a special place in my heart. I’m finally getting to reread this year! I’m so so so excited for The Darkest Star but a tiny bit anxious as I’m not sure what to expect!
