Although 1462 South Broadway is the first book of the series, it is important to note it can ALSO BE READ AS A STAND-ALONE.
Sizzling contemporary romance author KC Decker takes readers on a steamy, erotic ride in her new series. 1462 South Broadway is a smoking hot example of how kink and BDSM can be sexy and playful instead of always brooding or deviant.
Have you ever found yourself mired in the redundancy of day to day life? Perhaps everything seems perfect, but somehow existence just feels uninspired and mundane? This is the precise rut where Jessie Hayes finds herself. She has a great career, witty friends and an adventurous spirit to keep her fulfilled, but the matter of contention seems to be, she is constantly disappointed in men.
After yet another failed and painfully boring relationship, Jessie’s friends convince her to try something new, something crazy…something intoxicatingly sexy, and profoundly erotic.
What follows is an exploration of kinky fantasies, taboo desires, and forbidden pleasures. However, the series isn’t as cliché as simply finding the perfect man and living Happily Ever After, because there is far too much story to tell in between.
Follow talented author KC Decker as she takes you on an intensely erotic journey of BDSM, kink, sexual awakenings and ultimately, deep, abiding love.
Q&A
Physical or Ebook?
I read this book as an ebook.
Have you ever read a book by this author before?
Nope. This is my first time reading anything by Decker.
Genre?
Erotica/BDSM
Star Rating?
Rereadable?
Probably not. Where I enjoyed this, it’s really one of those, read once and then shelve it type books.
If it’s a series, would you continue reading it?
I’m not sure. I think in the future if I’m looking for a steamy read, I’ll probably pick it up. There was a story arc that started towards the end that kind of turned me away from continuing the series.
Is this a part of a challenge?
Yes. This is for the Laura Kaye Reader Group challenge: Try a new to you author.
Who would you recommend this for?
I would recommend this for people who don’t shy away from straight out erotica, but also enjoy some cutesy romance moments and can enjoy insta-love.
Conclusion
I think this novel was very well written. I loved how empowered Jessie was to take charge of her own sexuality after being basically disappointed by previous relationships. Her meeting Silas was definitely on the out there scale of ‘Meet Cute’s’. I can’t think of many women who would let someone creepily strip them in an office of a BDSM club but to each their own.
This novel was cute, quick and very steamy. Would highly recommend reading it!
Also, as a side note… I’m trying a new layout of reviews.
Do you like it? Please don’t hesitate to give me feedback. I love this layout, but if you think it’s annoying, let me know.
Until next time,
I was actually thinking about how I liked this review style before I saw your question about it! I enjoyed it– the questions you gave yourself were straight to the point with just enough depth to keep the reader wanting more
