This novella was… completely and utterly pointless.

That may be a pretty rude thing to say, but let me elaborate:

I love novels/novellas that show another perspective to a story. Look at the Lux series by JLA, Oblivion is one of my favorite novels of the series because showing Daemon’s perspective adds so much to the story line itself. You understand his perspective and makes the story seem fuller, more real.

This did absolutely none of that. See, I wasn’t too crazy about Leif’s character in the first place. Even though he played a huge role in the first and second book, I feel like you could of just taken him out completely and had a perfectly good story. He was thrown together so loosely that he was barely worth having around. So having a novella with a handful of chapters rewritten in his perspective,  yeah, it didn’t do anything for me.

Ah well, glad that’s over!
