So.. Haitus?

Hello friends,

So, I need to be completely straightforward with you…

I have a one track mind.

What that means for me is whenever I want to do something, I throw myself into it 110% and leave no time to do anything else.

In this case, it’s writing. I want to have my first draft done by the end of the month. It’s quite the goal, but it’s like doing NaNo, just in July.

*Speaking of.. I may participate in NaNo this year. Would you be interested in hearing my progress?

Because of this, my blog (and Goodreads) may be a little quiet this month. So bear with me and I’ll post when I can.

So it’s not really a haitus.. just a slow month for blogging/reading.

Question for you all: How do you balance everything? There’s so much to do in a day, how do you keep yourself happy and productive?

Until next time,

Bree

  1. LOL I JUST had this conversation with my editor. I told her this, “I’ve kind of settled on the fact that I’m only one person and can only do so much in a day. It’s helped a lot.” I time manage the best I can, but at the end of the day, I just have to be happy I got anything done at all.

Right now, working on my urban fantasy series for my blog, I’m not reading at all. I haven’t for over a week. That’s just the way it goes. I could find 30 minutes here or there, but I’d rather be writing. It sucks, but I’ve just decided to be OK with it.

And yes! Totally want to see your NaNo updates! ALL THE WRITING UPDATES!

    1. Haha thats so true. I have to remember I’m only one person and theres only so many hours in a day. Plus i work 40 hours a week (thankfully at home) but that still takes a huge chunk out of my time.

I have a story idea planned for NaNo😂

  2. I can’t help much because I’m in the same position and in need of a break. It’s been a long time coming. I feel like balance is key, but I haven’t found it myself.

With that said, good luck with your writing and enjoy your time! Blogging will always be here when you get back. 😉❤
