Fall and going into late fall always seems like the perfect time to start watching darker TV shows.
Now I don’t mean anything horror like. Cause fuck that.
Here’s my list of darker shows I tend to rewatch or watch around the fall:
1. Criminal Minds
I will forever love Criminal Minds. From the amazing characters to the dark and disturbing story lines. This is a great show to watch while curled up in a blanket on a cool night. And you know, pray to any deity in the history of humans that you never run across someone as sadistic as the criminals in this show.
2. Dexter
I love Dexter so much. I think what gets me about this show is that it’s so different than other shows involving murders. I mean, you follow the murderer and you hope that he doesn’t get caught.
Besides the last episode of the final season, this show is amazing.
3. Law & Order SVU
This one is actually new to me this year. I heard a lot of amazing things about this show but never had the nerve to start something that is pushing 20 + seasons. But here I am, and it gives off the perfect fall vibes. Plus Munch and Tutuola are kind of amazing.
4. Sons of Anarchy
SOA is an amazing anti-hero series. I mean, you damn well know that Jax is a horrible person. You know that half the shit that happens to him is completely and utterly his fault based off of his bad decisions. But you don’t want anything bad to happen to him, he’s amazing. Not to mention Tig and Chibs are the best characters ever.
5. Documentaries
Another thing I tend to watch a lot is random documentaries of murders and serial killers on Netflix or YouTube. I just find them absolutely fascinating. There’s a ton of series on YouTube that explains different serial killers, what they did, how they did it and what their motivation was. I love it. And it’s the perfect thing to curl up with.

HOOORAAAHHH for Dexter! I want to rewatch the series with my husband because she hasn’t watched it. I also love Criminal Minds. My mom and I tend to binge these together.

I’ve only seen the pilot of Dexter and some episodes of Criminal Minds, whish is very entertaining, we always default to that at dinnertime when there isn’t something we absolutely love on TV.
I loved the fist couple seasons of American Horror Story, but that’s as close to straight up horror as I go. Now I’m rewatching Bitten, cause it has an autumnal feel, and I want to start a Vampire Diaries rewatch too.
